Etude House Soonjung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream Review
The Presently Jung line originally defenseless my attention since it was aimed at those with sensitive skin – that's me! A couple of years ago, I tried the mini version of the Soon Jung line which had the toner, cream, emulsion and cica balm. It's really a pretty expert fashion to decide whether you should invest in the full size versions or not!
Since I was a fan of the Soon Jung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream, I purchased the total size for my winter skincare routine. (I likewise enjoyed the cica balm but the toner didn't practice anything for me and I'm not an emulsion person lol). The foam claims to soothe the skin and maintain its oil-water balance. Sounds helpful for my combination peel!
The Product:
Type: Moisturizer
Volume: 60ml
Recommended peel type: Any pare type, sensitive skin
Key Ingredients:
Panthenol
A vitamin B5 precursor which works as a humectant to hydrate the skin. Information technology also has anti-inflammatory backdrop to help soothe irritation.
Madecassoside
An active compound of centella asiatica. This ingredient helps to soothe and moisturize the skin, promote wound healing and increase antioxidant levels. Lots of goodness 😀
Shea Butter
An occlusive ingredient which works as an emollient to soften and smoothe the skin. It likewise has soothing properties and has a loftier antioxidant content.
Total Ingredients Listing (cosdna):
The Packaging:
The moisturizer comes in a white plastic squeezable tube – useful for when you are getting near the finish! To dispense the foam, you pop open the lid AND you take to unscrew the part inside then squeeze to disperse the production from the circular function (see pics!). Never seen this kind of lock mechanism on a moisturizer earlier – information technology took me a while to retrieve to unscrew information technology before trying to squeeze the product out >.<
The packaging seems more hygienic due to the double locking system withal I am wondering whether information technology is really necessary hm…
The Consistency:
The cream has a medium consistency when practical on the pare. As you lot spread information technology out, it feels rich and nourishing since it leaves a layer on top that feels super moisturizing (tertiary film). The layer is slightly tacky at first.
I'g pleased to report this cream has no fragrance \^.^/ In fact, I believe the whole Shortly Jung line is free from fragrance, as well every bit artificial color, parabens, essential oils and alcohol!
The Performance:
This cream takes a little longer to blend out and rub in due to the medium consistency. Still once application is washed, it feels very moisturizing and quite gentle on the skin. It did not irritate my sensitive skin at all – the mark of a good moisturizer 😉
Throughout the mean solar day, this keeps my peel feeling moisturized and I don't take whatsoever dry patches or flaky peel. It's just very moisturizing, peculiarly when yous have to go outside in the common cold winter wind, therefore I call up those with dry pare would honey this!
One thing to bear in mind is to watch how your sunscreen works with this, since it is a richer formula. When I used this nether a moisturizing, dewy sunscreen (Innisfree Blueberry Rebalancing Watery Sun Foam), information technology was too much on top of my combo-dry skin. Depending on your skin type, you may need to switch up your sunscreen to work with this moisturizer!
(^That might be obvious to others simply I've never had to specifically avert using certain moisturizers and sunscreens together so I idea I'd let you know!)
Pros:
Short ingredients list without fragrance, essential oils or booze
Very moisturizing
Feels gentle and non-irritating
Cons:
May exist too rich for non-dry pare types or in warmer seasons
Overall Rating:
4/v
The Soon Jung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream is exactly what I was expecting (assuming my retentiveness was right from when I tried the mini size!). It is highly moisturizing and gentle for sensitive pare. I capeesh the short, minimal ingredients list and that this foam is fragrance-free!
I would recommend this moisturizer to anyone on the spectrum of normal/combo-dry to very dry skin. I imagine those with oilier skin types would probably find this cream likewise rich on the skin. If you accept sensitive skin, I think you volition bask how gentle and non-irritating this feels 🙂
